The programs

Common Core Basic Education Program

This program brings together the 13 study programs of the first part of general adult education. These study programs are made up of courses spread over three levels:

  • literacy
  • presecondary
  • lower secondary (Secondary 1 and 2)

It should be noted that the socio-professional integration programs (semi-specialized and non-specialized trades), francization and social integration are not part of common core basic education. However, they are paths that can lead to it, depending on the adult’s needs. Download the official document.

The services

The goal of socio-vocational integration services is to provide adults with the means to develop their employability, enter the labor market and facilitate their job retention. This service also offers the prospect of pursuing studies in general adult education.

It can lead to the acquisition of a Training Certificate in Socio-vocational Integration of Adults (TCSIA) or the Training Certificate for a Semiskilled Trade (TCST).

The Social Integration Services program is a collaborative result with Quebec school boards and school service centres, which aims to meet the education needs of adults with psychological, intellectual, social or physical adjustment difficulties.

This program allows for personal development that favors learning and skills acquisition, and if necessary, the pursuit of studies. This is to promote the optimal development of the individual in the functional skills required in their daily life.

Social integration is directly linked to the spheres of personal, social, educational and professional life. Through their support and coaching actions, the external partners facilitate the completion of the adult’s education process and the transfer of their learning to their home environments.
